This Privacy Policy “Policy” describes how your information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from costco.trailervalet.com (the “Site”).

Personal information we collect

Trailer Valet (“we”, “us” and, “our”) is the sole owner of the information collected on the Site. When you visit the Site, we may automatically, directly or indirectly collect information about the device or devices you are using to access the Site “Device Information”, or information pertaining to your order “Order Information.”

Device Information may include certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we may collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. How do we use your Personal Information?

We generally use the Order Information that we collect to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we may use this Order Information to:

when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

Trailer Valet may use cookies to customize web page content based on visitors’ browser type or other information that the visitor sends. If a user rejects cookies, he/she may still use the Site, however he/she may be unable to use the shopping cart to purchase items online. This is because cookies are used by the shopping cart to retain information necessary to process the order.

Trailer Valet does not share financial information with third parties except when processing credit card information with merchant banks for authorization and approval. This process is protected by an enhanced security system.

Trailer Valet may share Personal Information to protect the rights and property of Trailer Valet, our agents, customers, and others. This includes enforcing our agreements, policies, and terms of use. Trailer Valet may share Personal Information when we do a business deal, or negotiate a business deal, involving the sale or transfer of all or a part of our business or assets. These deals can include any merger, financing, acquisition, or bankruptcy transaction or proceeding.

Product Ratings and Reviews

Trailer Valet provides a product-rating feature that allows customers to rate the quality of the product. The review system also allows for customers to leave written comments to further elaborate their experience with the product. All ratings and review comments are pre-screened by a moderator before posting to the site. The moderator may choose to disregard or eliminate comments that do not meet the guidelines, e.g., requiring that all comments are truthful and non-offensive. Guidelines do not permit the posting of personal information or information for the purpose of personal gain.

Security

Trailer Valet takes precautions to protect users’ Personal Information. When users submit sensitive information via the Site, the information is protected both online and offline. When a registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with 128bit encryption SSL technology by Authorize.net. If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. Trailer Valet does not use customers’ Personal Information for contact other than Trailer Valet pertinent business. However, for customers who wish to opt-out or be removed from Trailer Valet special offers and related news, Trailer Valet provides several methods to accomplish this request. When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

Trailer Valet is not in the business of selling your personal information, and as of the Date of this Policy, Trailer Valet does not believe that it meets the requirements to classify it as a “business” under the provisions of the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”).
